The 2015 Nurse Practitioner 'Round the Capitol' Legislative Days provide you with a chance to shape the regulations impacting your profession and the care delivered to your patients. Together, we can make a difference.

TNP encourages all nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students, and other APRNs to get involved in the legislative process by attending our Nurse Practitioner Day at the Capitol. The day will begin with an informational session at the capitol followed by pre-scheduled meetings with your state legislators.

Attending this session will give you the opportunity to hear from legislative experts, legislators, and TNP lobbyists. The day has been designed to maximize attendance by pairing regions from around the state, which we hope will significantly increase our presence at the state Capitol. Instead of ceding the playing field to the medical establishment, we need your involvement for us to make significant headway in our fight for full practice authority.

In addition to our legislative activities, we are planning resolutions and recognitions to occur on the House and Senate floor. And for you parents out there, if your children are interested in serving as a legislative page for the day, we are happy to work with your legislative offices to make it happen on your assigned day. This is just another way to highlight nurse practitioners and to build a relationship with your legislators.
