Educational Dinner Presentations
Dear Austin APN members,
Thank you for your participation and ongoing support of our organization. The growth of our organization depends on ongoing communication; your voices make a difference and we appreciate the time and commitment you've made to being a part of this group. Over the last several months we have heard from many of you about your desire to see a broader range of educational topics presented. We have organized and continue to work on several projects related to these requested topics. Several upcoming topics include Intimate Partner Violence, Migraines and Bipolar Disease, and last week's program on Depression which was presented by one of our very own, Aline Zeringue, CNS.
We are fortunate enough to have the backing of several pharmaceutical companies whose representatives work closely with us to ensure that we not only have exceptional topics and speakers but also provide us with a wonderful excuse to socialize at wonderful restaurants in and around Austin. I ask that you please be mindful of the time and expense that goes into each of these programs and towards that end be conscious of a few guidelines when it comes to Austin APN’s educational programs: These programs are offered to and for Austin area APNs ,APN students, and their APN guests only. Please keep in mind that if you extend an invitation to someone they should be a practicing APN. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate non-healthcare professionals, personal guests, or non-APN guests. Also, as the date approaches for an event that you have RSVPed for please consider updating your reply if your plans have changed and you are unable to attend. This allows our representative/Austin APNs to more accurately plan for the venue - pharmaceutical representatives have to account for all of our RSVPs, not jsut the actual attendees; in addition it allows a guest on the waiting list to attend in your place if you are unable to make it. We will make sure this information is included with each invitation .
