One last donation opportunity for the AAPN food drive
Posted about 11 years ago by Tracy Brazziel Thomas
To date, we've collected a generous 200 items of food and $350.00 for the AAPN spring food drive. Next week's dinner meeting will be our last collection before we submit the donations to the Capital Area Food Bank. This is just in time for their summer meals program. This campaign is focused on feeding people during one of the toughest times of the year. And the food bank reports that donations slow down in the summer months. For those of you attending next Wednesday's dinner meeting, please consider a monetary donation (we've even received a check) or donating non-perishable food items. Remember that every $1 donated will provide 5 meals. This is a larger meeting and it's full with 50 members signed up to attend. We could really close the food drive with a bang and make a difference in our community.
