Reminder to unRSVP
Posted about 11 years ago by Tracy Brazziel Thomas
If you have registered for a dinner meeting and your plans have changed, please remember to unRSVP. (Even if it's the day of the meeting.) The meetings have limited seating and those seats fill up quickly. If you do not show up and you do not unRSVP, you are blocking other members (waiting on the waiting list) from attending. It's not only courteous to your fellow members to unRSVP; it's courteous to our sponsors and speakers as well. The sponsors usually have a set room fee for the venue on top of their meal budget. If you no show, you are potentially causing the rep to pay for an empty seat.
Additionally, please be diligent in signing both sign in sheets when you arrive. One is for our sponsor, who is responsible for accounting for each meal, and the other is for our membership committee. If you are attending, and you don't sign in, we will assume that you were a no show and you did not unRSVP. The Board of Directors is contemplating punitive action for repeat offenders.
