Mayoral Proclamation for APN Week

Seven APNs attended the Austin City Council meeting on Thursday 11-19-09 to accept the mayoral proclamation for Austin Advanced Practice Nurses Week, Nov 9-11, 2009.

Council woman Cheryl Cole presented the certificate to APN members. She thanked all APNs for their important role in health care in our community. Lynda Woolbert, the Public Policy Director for CNAP was in Austin and joined our group. Monica Alleman, recently re-located from Louisiana brought her young daughter and mother to the ceremony.

Young Emily was a great success at the proclamation ceremony. She wore her ”future NP” t-shirt and informed everyone that she planned to be a NP soon. Take a look at the photo below at www.austinapns.org ! Have a great APN Week!
