Austin Advanced Practice Nurses

Hello from your new President

Posted over 1 year ago by Eddie Maraboto

Dear Austin APNs community,

Greetings, and thank you for your continued membership and support for Austin Advanced Practice Nurses! It's an honor to have been elected by our Board of Directors to serve as our President for the next two years. I look forward to leading our group of over 250 APNs strong--including more than 40 APN students--in growing our membership and expanding our opportunities to network, learn, socialize, and serve our community together.

Special thanks to our recent past presidents, Stephanie Agrella, PhD, APRN, ANP-B.C., MSCN, and Stephanie Dang, MSN, RN, ACNS-BC, PMHNP-BC. Thanks to their strong leadership, we made it through the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and continue to recover and thrive as a renowned professional organization.

If you are a practicing APN or current APN student but not a full member, I encourage you to join today, and set up your membership for auto-renewal if possible. It's thanks to the ongoing support of our members that we are able to offer the many and varied benefits we offer, and which I encourage all members to enjoy to the fullest! From educational, community outreach and volunteer opportunities, to conference grants, scholarships, and preceptor incentives, Austin APNs is here to support you and be a positive presence for our profession in the community.

Stay tuned for info on the much anticipated return of one of our best opportunities to learn while having fun together: Austin APNs 2023 continuing education cruise, November 5-12!

Thank you, and I hope to see you soon,

Eddie Maraboto, MSN, APRN, ACNS-BC

President
