Attention Advanced Practice Nurses : Volunteer Opportunity at the Volunteer Healthcare Clinic
Posted over 13 years ago by Dorothy Darby
Advanced Practice Nurses Needed for Healthcare Clinic:
For over 40 years, the Volunteer Healthcare Clinic has been providing high quality health care to the working poor and those without insurance. The Clinic and its ability to accommodate over 5300 patient visits annually is made possible by 400+ volunteers donating their time and talents, as well as generous in-kind support received from Seton and other community medical facilities. The Clinic is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Monday night is a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) clinic where patients with diabetes and hypertension are treated. Tuesdays and Thursdays are walk-in, acute primary care clinics, treating primarily general illness and non-emergency type issues. The atmosphere is lively and friendly and there is a great energy at the Clinic. Volunteer nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse practitioners are always needed and the time commitment can be as little as a two hour shift once every other month.
